Confessions in plaster,
ink and rain.

Each piece starts as words — a post on an anonymous archive — and travels through stencil, spray and plaster until it can stand on a wall of its own. This is the work, hung in the order it wants to be read.

Never Settle

A quiet declaration titled “Search for her”, posted to @wordsmith.a.r in July 2017. It escaped the feed as raw graffiti, stencilled in defiance across concrete — then was reworked into a textured canvas using Venetian plaster, spray paint and layered stencil work for the Worthing Art Festival.

Medium — Venetian plaster, aerosol, stencil on canvas
Origin — “Search for her”, 25 July 2017
Street — Worthing, post-2017

Reflections in the Rain — original canvas. Stencilled poem over blue-green washed pigment and embedded steel mesh.

Original — available as print

Reflections in the Rain

Unlike the others, this piece never lived as graffiti — but its spirit is the same. It began as a delicate post titled “A wish” in December 2016, the earliest seed of the three. It blossomed nine years later as a layered studio work of Venetian plaster, fading pigments and rain-washed textures for the CTRL ALT CREATE collection. It holds space for memory, erosion, and soft persistence.

Medium — Venetian plaster, fading pigments, mesh, canvas
Origin — “A wish”, 12 December 2016
Canvas — June 2025, CTRL ALT CREATE

She Did Not Know — original work. White stencilled poem and a dancing figure holding an umbrella on a green utility-cabinet painting.

Original — the emotional core

She Did Not Know

A poem. A wall. A memory made visible. First shared quietly as “🌼 and the rain” in January 2017, it took physical shape that April as stencil graffiti — anonymous, intimate, fleeting. The street version disappeared, but the message endured, reimagined for the CTRL ALT CREATE exhibition. It remains the emotional core of Rebel Romeo.

Medium — stencil & mixed media
Origin — “🌼 and the rain”, 8 January 2017
Street — April 2017, since lost

The Street

2017 — ongoing

The first gallery had no opening hours. Stencilled phrases of longing and hope, painted in the early hours while the town was still — found, photographed and shared by strangers under #rebelromeo.
